Managing Your Keyword List

Effective keyword management is the foundation of a successful SEO strategy. By organizing and selecting the right keywords, you ensure that your content reaches the right audience and ranks higher on search engines. This guide covers how to generate, organize, and use keywords to fuel your content creation process.

Keywords generated in the Researcher automatically flow into your Content Planner, making it easy to transition from discovery to scheduling.

Generating Your Keyword List

The first step in managing your keywords is discovery. The Keyword Researcher uses AI to analyze your business profile and find high-potential terms for your niche.

  1. Navigate to Keywords & SEO > Keyword Researcher in your dashboard.

  2. Select your target Country from the dropdown menu.

  3. (Optional) Enter a specific seed term in the Specify word field to guide the AI.

  4. Click Generate Keywords.

The generation process typically takes 20-30 seconds. Once complete, your new keywords will appear in the table below.

If you aren't seeing relevant results, try adding more detail to your Product Description in your Business Profile settings.

Understanding Keyword Metrics

Your keyword list provides essential data to help you prioritize which terms to target first:

  • Search Volume: The average number of monthly searches for that term.

  • Keyword Difficulty: A score from 0-100 indicating how hard it is to rank for that term.

Difficulty scores are color-coded for quick reference:

  • 0-30 (Easy): Ideal for new websites or quick wins.

  • 31-60 (Medium): Requires high-quality content and some authority.

  • 61-75 (Hard): Highly competitive; requires strong SEO authority.

  • 76-100 (Very Hard): Dominated by major brands and high-authority sites.

Organizing and Filtering Keywords

As your list grows, use the built-in tools to find the most valuable opportunities:

  • Search Bar: Quickly find specific terms or phrases within your list.

  • Sorting: Click any column header (like Volume or Difficulty) to sort the list in ascending or descending order.

  • Country Filter: Switch between different regions to see how keyword performance varies by location.

  • Export: Click Export to Excel to download your entire list for offline analysis or reporting.

Regularly exporting your list helps you keep a historical record of your SEO discovery efforts.

Adding Custom Keywords

While the AI discovery tool is powerful, you may have specific keywords you already want to target. You can add these manually through the Content Planner.

  1. Go to the Content Planner (Scheduler).

  2. Click the Add Keywords (plus icon) button.

  3. Type or paste your custom keywords into the field.

  4. These keywords will now be available for you to schedule as articles.

Selecting Keywords for Content Creation

Once you've identified your top keywords, the final step is turning them into published articles. In the Content Planner, you can manage this in two ways:

  • Manual Selection: Drag and drop keywords from your "Keyword Pool" onto specific dates on your calendar.

  • Automated Scheduling: Click the Magic Wand icon to let the AI automatically select and schedule the best keywords from your list for the next 60 days.

Keywords scheduled on your calendar will automatically begin generating as articles at 7:00 AM UTC on their scheduled date.
